Strawberry topping for scones

I was making David’s scones with a bunch of kids and some friends. After we finished making the scones, we couldn’t find any jam in the house.

Luckily, I had some strawberries, some agave nectar and a smart friend who made a yummy alternative.

It was so good that next time I am making scones, I might use this instead of my jam! Reckon it would work well with blueberries and raspberries too.


  • Strawberries
  • Agave nectar

  1. Chop the strawberries into small pieces.
  2. Pour agave nectar over the strawberries.
  3. Stir and taste. Add more agave if it needs it.
