What people are shouting

There’s an article in the new york times today about parents who are rebelling against the traditional children’s menu’s in restaurants. They must have read my article They eat what we eat. I am looking forward to reading their article. I’ll get to it after we eat.

Hello Amr- I am curious what foods and beverages you serve at the Sheraton. Do you have a lot of local fare? I’d love to try cooking some recipes from Yemen.

I bet she loved it nonetheless. It’s not every mother-in-law that has a son-in-law cook for her.

Just made Korean galbi for my mother-in-law. It didn’t have time to marinate and was worse off for the rush. Next time I will do it right.

Thai green curry (without coconut) tonight — so tasty yet so easy.

I overcooked the Chinese broccoli. Will I ever learn!

I haven’t any tasty hare recipes. But I was looking for a recipe for peas the other day and came across this cute anonymous poem:

I always eat my peas with honey;
I’ve done it all my life.
They do taste kind of funny but
It keeps them on my knife.

Did the Summer flank steak this evening. I was in a bit of a hurry so I upped the lime juice. The smell suddenly made me think Tequila, so I poured in a couple of shots and ground some cumin. All-in-all, a twist I would recommend.

Thats funny, I was having a hotdog at home last night and I was gonna write in and tell everyone how amazing it was. I got my hot dog from the German Deli on Main Street in Santa Monica. Don’t know what they call it but it taste just like ‘Swedish Hot Dogs’ and they are the best! and I put a really good sweet/spicy swedish mustard on it….yummy!

Why, oh why, did I eat a hot dog at the cinema last night? Whenever I eat one, I always imagine that it couldn’t possibly be as bad as the last one. Yet it always is, of course.

Two questions come to mind. First, why are they are so bad? Second, why do we continue to tolerate them (and, worse still, buy them)?
