Agreed. My wife is Polish on her father’s side. But two generations removed and they have lost the traditional family dishes. I’d love to surprise my in-laws with some real Polish treats.

I am always looking for restaurant tips in Los Angeles. My current favorite restaurants are Gyu Kaku, Katsuya and John O’Groats (brunch). But now, I’m equally interested in hearing about great kid friendly restaurants because we have a baby!
I also cook a lot and swear by Cuisine at Home magazine - I’ve found most of my favorite recipes there.

My salad this spring is definitely Blue moon rocket salad (and variations on the theme). I must have made it 10 times in the last 3 weeks.

It’s hot enough for ice cream with a flake. Where is an ice-cream van when you need one? There should definitely be a dial-an-ice-cream service… it would make a mint-choc-chip for sure.
